How Badly Do You Want It?

How badly do you want to see your dreams manifest themselves into your current reality? How badly do you want to live the life that you always fantasize about? How badly do you want to actually be the person that you envision yourself becoming? In the landscape of life, dreams come a dime-a-dozen, entering into the minds of many but scarcely making it past the metaphoric four walls of the mind to escape into the freedom of our three-dimensional reality. However, what about the few individuals – in comparison to the seven billion people who inhabit earth- who actually manage to make those visions in their minds transcend into their physical world. What do they do differently than the rest? Are they smarter? Are they more attractive? Are they more savy? Possibly. But, all of those factors are not the dominant  influences that dictate success. Well then what is it, you ask? It’s simple, the determining factor of success is ALWAYS “state of mind.” What are you constantly thinking about? What are you perpetually telling yourself? What pictures are you formulating in your mind? It is the picture that you paint of yourself in your mind, that controls your perception of yourself and your overall life outcome. Patti Dobrowolski, TEDx speaker, critically acclaimed comic performer, writer, and business consultant states that the act of drawing out your vision on paper through colorful, impactful, and compelling imagery, has the power to further engrain your desires into your brain thus making you take radical action towards Its their attainment.

In the TED Talk entitled, Draw Your Future, Dobrowolski states that pictures are a way to trick your brain into accomplishing your goals by imprinting a picture that is so convincing it forces your subconscious mind to believe it – and start to create methods and connections toward its manifestation. As a side note, the subconscious mind doesn’t know the difference between what is imagined and what is “real,” so whatever you visualize with high emotion and conviction WILL in some shape are manner make its way into your physical reality. By drawing out your dreams you are using your imagination. Imagination is associated with the right side of the brain – the creative free-spirit counterpart of the logical critic-filled left side. The act of drawing your current state vs. your desired new reality creates a roadmap for change. The conflict of your miserable state vs. your desired state of happiness will activate your brain to subconsciously develop the steps in order for you to obtain your new life. Dobrowolski states that it only takes three bold steps to get from your current state to your desired one, and through drawing out your goals you are assisting your brain in constructing the answer to what those three bold steps are. “See it, believe it, act on it,” states Dobrowolski.

Every day you should soak in the contents of the picture of your compelling life. Once you begin to receive clues of how to accomplish this life, you MUST act on them. Your mind is guiding you through clues of insight, follow them. Whether it be calling up an old friend. Going to a new location. Or simply finding a video that provides you with knowledge of your desired area of expertise. Do it! The life that you desire is closer than you think. Patti Dobrowolski ends her TED Talk with a timeless quote by Dr. Maya Angelou, she states, “A solitary fantasy can transform a million realities.” It couldn’t have been more fitting. In summary, draw and visualize yourself into your destined greatness. I DARE YOU.

FOCUS, BELIEF, FEELING…

Dr. D. Ivan Young, Master Certified Coach & Relationship Expert, presented an incredible TED Talk in 2015 on the topic of merging emotional intelligence with the Law of Attraction. In the talk he gave a clear definition of emotional intelligence and tied it into the area of focus and physical feeling through the body. He also shared “nuggets of enlightenment” in the field of silencing your mind to get the answers to pressing questions. Through the assistance of a higher power, he revealed, placing yourself in silence will allow you to receive the knowledge you are seeking. One of the BEST quotes that I received from his presentation was this, “That which you seek ladies and gentlemen, that which you desire, that which you long for- is equally seeking you.” POWERFUL! Right?

It is a comforting feeling to sense that all of your desires are also attracting you, just as much as you are attracting them. Whether those desires be: to go back to school, purchase a new car, buy a house, or to attract the right people and resources. Whatever! Just as much as you want them, God wants to give these things to you. However, it requires you to clear your mind, focus, and BELIEVE that you deserve what you are asking and desiring for.

One thing that I have learned, through study and personal experience, is that manifestation happens faster when the mind is clear and the heart is filled with love. Pure love. Love that holds no grudges. Love that relishes in laughter. Love that dares to dream. Love that BELIEVES that it is worthy. Love that loves in completion and perfection.

                  1. When facing dilemmas, problems, or issues.
                    1. Get quiet, meditate, and ask God for the answers.
